How early can we arrive ? Our team of cleaners leave the cottages at 3. From then on, the welcome mat is
waiting. For the rest of the stay you are welcome to come and go as you please.


What can we see in the area ?
Well we have wonderful Castle Drogo within 2 miles.
A National Trust property sitting at the top of the stunning
gorge of the River Teign, where you will find excellent
walks and unspoilt wildlife.

The Miniature Pony Centre at Moretonhampstead is a must for families, and if you
click this link, you will be able to download and print a 10% discount voucher and
one or two more £ £ £ money off vouchers for other places.
Garden Lovers look on this page to see lots of garden options. The Eden Project is less
than an hours drive away. A very easy route down the A30 south and then follow the signs.

What is your local town ? Chagford town/village is about a 10 minute drive from here and it is really
worth a visit. Amazing shops, good places to eat. 4 pubs and a 15th century church.
Don't miss taking a cream tea in The Old Forge Tearoom, where they have the best
array of home made cakes in the countymade in the kitchen by Phill and served with old fashioned
courtesy by Colin. The town has 2 banks a Nat West with a hole in the wall and a thatched Lloyds bank.

Can we reach the seaside ? Yes, and if you check out the weather forecast on tv the evening
before, then you will know whether to head for the South Coast (Torquay, Paignton, Plymouth) or the
North coast (Bude, Barnstaple and Westward Ho !) North or South it will take you less than an hour
to roll out your towel on the beach. Allow yourselves plenty of time for spotting theponies on Dartmoor too....
and scenery ...and walks, ......and 55 different flavours of ice creams in the local dairy !
